Tempus Transit Inmemor
ByWe know the purpose of the Forum Romanum, we can speculate as to the reasons behind the war depicted on the Vulture Stele (other than those written, loosely translated “I dreamed god approved”) but in the grand scheme of things time is oblivious. Rather than taking this to mean nothing that we do matters, I’d rather think that it just emphasizes the importance of what we do today, all acts are important to those affected, time may be oblivious but those we affect are not. Would you rather be remembered for acts of destruction or acts of creativity? The decision is yours.
